Daily Don'ts (dailydonts.com) is a small, free habit tracker made by João Pinho, an individual developer in Porto, Portugal. This page explains, in plain words, what data the app uses and why.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and a unique account ID. We use them only to sign you in and keep your habits tied to your account.
- Your habits: the habits you create (name, emoji, cheat-day allowance) and how each day went.
- Your notes: anything you choose to write in a day's note. Notes are free text, so they may include personal or sensitive details (for example about your health, mood or where you were). They're optional, stored like the rest of your habits, visible only to you, and never read, analysed or used for anything other than showing them back to you.
- Basic, anonymous usage stats: page views counted by Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies and without identifying you.
How it's used
Only to run the app: showing your habits and keeping them in sync across your devices. No ads, no profiling, and your data is never sold or shared with anyone for their own use.
Where it's stored
Your account and habits are stored with Supabase (servers in the EU, Ireland), protected so that only you can access your own data. A copy is also kept in your browser on each device you use, so the app works quickly and offline. The website is hosted by Vercel.
Ask AI
The "Ask AI" feature only copies or downloads your history, including your notes, on your device. Nothing is sent to any AI service unless you paste or upload it yourself, and from then on that service's own privacy policy applies.
Your choices
- You can download a copy of your data at any time with Back up.
- You can sign out on any device, which removes the local copy from that device.
- You can delete your account and all your data at any time, straight from the app: tap Delete account at the bottom of the page. It's erased immediately, on every device. If you can't sign in anymore, email botjgp@gmail.com from the address you used and it will be deleted within 30 days.
If you're in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).
